eSENSEial Data Science GmbH is dedicated to provide top-notch machine data analysis services, especially for large-scale industrial plants and machinery in heavy industry.As a spin-off of Montanuniversitaet Leoben, we strongly cooperate with academia and uphold the principles of good scientific practice. We believe that data without context is just noise. That is why we use metadata and physical models to give data meaning and added value. This approach unlocks a range of practical applications, like improving the design phase of next-generation products, supporting engineers during commissioning, monitoring plant conditions to find improvement opportunities, and assisting with event and root cause analysis of machine or process failures.

Our story
In 2018 eSENSEial Data Science GmbH was founded by Michael Habacher and Paul O’Leary as a spin-off of Montanuniversitaet Leoben, in Upper Styria, Austria, with the support of the Centre for Applied Technologies as part of the AplusB funding programme of the FFG and SFG.Since the first project in 2018, our portfolio has evolved from a pure data ingestion platform to a comprehensive offering in sensor and machine data analysis, including a flexible sensor platform.
By now, the company is subject to constant growth and a workplace for 20 employees. Next to the headquarter, which is located in Leoben, eSENSEial has two additional branch offices located in Graz and Wiener Neudorf.
