eSENSEial Data Science GmbH is a start-up company that aims to bridge the gap between automation and IT in the field of raw and secondary materials to gain deeper insights into the condition and operation of machines and plants through extensive analysis of their data.

To join our team we are looking for a Python Daemon Developer.

Task area

The scope of duties is very diverse but consists of three major areas. You support less experienced colleagues with base implementations and help them to get better, review their progress, give them feedback and of course implement yourself.

As a Python Daemon Developer, you will primarily take care of the further development of the sensor software and its optimization: from hardware communication, processing of data on the sensor, transfer data to the cloud, and logging.

Competencies

You should be able to work independently and be enthusiastic about IT, automation technology. Preferred is knowledge in object-orientated Python programming – especially regarding threading and queueing – as well as in working with Linux environment (mostly on ARM) and embedded communication (SPI, I²C, UART). Experience in the area of version control with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (Gitlab) and containerization is also an advantage.

We offer you a gross monthly salary in line with the market for the position, depending on your specific qualifications (minimum salary: € 43.316,- per year on a full-time basis, collective agreement: “Angestellte von Unternehmen im Bereich Dienstleistungen in der automatischen Datenverarbeitung und Informationstechnik”).
